how to model biodiesel from UCO in 4.03c version was created by jlehoux
Dear Don,
We are currently working on modeling biodiesel production from UCO and want to ensure the highest level of accuracy.
Since Yellow Grease and UCO are distinct products with different properties, we are unsure how best to proceed.
In the Input Sheet rows 77–88, the closest option appears to be waste cooking oil. However, in Input Sheet rows 91–102 and 236–241, the only available option is Yellow Grease, which is not equivalent to UCO.When the alt fuel prod and coprods sheets are filled with our plant's verified information, the Results HHV sheet shows wrong results, likely due to the combined use of waste cooking oil and yellow grease.
Could you please indicate which cells or options should be used to achieve the most realistic simulation?
Thanks for the support,

For the transportation distances in rows 77-88 you should use column Z for the distance from the UCO collector to the BD plant. Column Y should be used for the transportation from the restaurant or food processor to the UCO depot.
For the BD transportation you should be using the yellow Grease column AH.
For the biodiesel production data use column AR. Rows 233-241.
Regards
Don O'Connor
