RNG from Energy Crops was created by graham.vanevery@anaergia.com
I am examining an AD process that will produce RNG from purpose grown energy crops. I intend on modelling this in the Manure/Grass RNG pathway and will input the feedstock in the corn/soy beans/canola/wheat category. Obviously I will turn off any avoided emissions.

Does this pathway automatically take into account driving the tractor to harvest the crops, fertilizer used to grow them and any land use changes associated with the energy crops? Or are these factors that I should input manually somewhere in the model?

Thanks,
Graham

The model has four options for these, row 59 on the input sheet. If you select one of these, or a blend then the model will calculate the energy and fertilizer required to produce the crops. In the case of the corn stover and wheat straw the model will add the nutrients that are removed from field and replace them with synthetic fertilizer.

On the Fertilizer sheet, row 188 should be zero for the switchgrass and hay columns.
