RNG stream from co-digestion was created by vmarenich
Hi, I am having difficulty navigating the RNG stream in terms of co-digestion. I am exploring the feasibility study side of the CFP and so my numbers are limited. More specifically which inputs and under which category would AD co-digestion into RNG fall under? Furthermore, the model produces a range of numbers but it is not clear which carbon intensity number is related to what my inputs are. Any help is highly appreciated.

There are two co-digestion options in the model right now.
On the Input sheet column BB rows 240 to 247 allows for manure and ag residues as an input.
Column BC allows for manure and organic waste as the inputs. Since waste materials are generally considered to be emission free, the organic waste category can serve as a proxy for many potential inputs.

Thank you, so I have the data for the BC column on the input tab for the electricity and natural gas consumption, where will these inputs correspond to in terms of carbon intensity on the output tab? Is there any documentation to help me follow where the inputs go and where they come out. I am not clear on how to read the outputs based on the inputs.

The calculated CI is on the Upstream Results sheet HHV column BM.
The inputs will impact the results in the fuel production row.
You can always use the trace dependents tool in Excel to follow the data through the model.

Hi Don,
I'm analyzing an AD system using half manure and half organic waste as feedstocks. I've input these feedstocks into Input tab cells BE246 and BE247 ("RNG Organic Waste" column). Also, when I run the model and save, in the GHG Output sheet that is created, I am wondering if there's any relation to the AD system I'm modelling in column BO, "CRNG Organic Waste," or should I only be looking at CRNG AD column BN?
Thanks,
Andrew

Input sheet's manure/grass in BD is the pathway that becomes Upstream Results' CRNG AD in column BN.
Input sheet's organic waste in BE is the pathway that becomes Upstream Results' CRNG Organic Waste in BO.

Okay, thanks. And for an AD that is using both manure and organic waste, I would input them in their respective rows both in BD, and the results would again be in CRNG AD (column BN), rather than both BN and BO?

Manure and organic waste would be input in cells BE247 and BE246 respectively, on the Input sheet. The result would be in column BO on Upstream Results HHV.
You don't want to use the AD in BE on Input and BN on Upstream Results because it does not include organic waste, but grass for one input. The pathways are otherwise functionally similar and the "AD" pathway will be renamed in the next major version to prevent this confusion.
